The Suburban Sheltie Rescue, Ltd. is classified as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity by the Internal Revenue Service, with donations considered tax deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.

All donations are used strictly, and only, for the veterinary care, feeding, grooming and welfare of the dogs.  No salaries or compensation are paid to any individuals involved with the Suburban Sheltie Rescue.  All work is provided on a non-compensated volunteer basis.  Administrative costs such as accounting, printing and postage are kept to an absolute minimum and are approximately 3% of the total funding received.
